Aspire volunteers in Hyderabad organized clothes collection drive in the office and collected both winter/daily wear clothes and donated the same to Goonj (NGO) for distribution to homeless/needy people. Volunteers from our office handed over the clothes to Goonj on 03rd January 2020.
Aspire volunteers from Chennai visited Saibaba Gurukulam (Orphanage) on 04th January 2020 and spent time with the kids through games, music and dance etc. Volunteers also donated funds to sponsor lunch for the kids and Aspire (company) contributed funds to procure some basic necessities like towels, etc. for the kids.
As a part of our Women’s Day 2020 celebration, Tulips (our all-women committee) organized a walkathon through which we raised funds of INR 141,250. The funds were utilized to support our contract labours who have lost income due to the lockdown in July 2020 and to a couple of orphanages (with the help of our NGO partner BHUMI) to buy basic necessities and grocery items in August 2020.
Our volunteers accompanied the children from a community center to the Birla Planetarium in Chennai. Our NGO partner, Bhumi, organized this field trip.
We work in partnership with non-profits, corporates, and other like-minded organizations, to take up volunteering activities on various social causes such as rural education, environment, healthcare, etc.
We work with non-profits and skill development agencies to provide short-term and job-oriented vocational courses to unemployed/underemployed youth. We have trained more than 1000 youth predominantly in Sewing Machine Operation, General Duty assistants, Retail Sales/Customer Service, and Information Technology.
We supported the community during the COVID-19 lockdown period by partnering with key NGOs. Support included medical supplies to frontline workers, grocery and sanitary to affected communities, meals to COVID affected households, etc.
We have contributed to the restoration of the Gangaiamman temple pond in the suburbs of Chennai, recently helping the pond and the surrounding flora and fauna to thrive.
We supported a Chennai-based hospital in acquiring BiPAP ventilators for the treatment of COVID-19 infected patients. They were able to add 3 BiPAP ventilators to their healthcare system with our funds.
Aspire Systems have partnered with United Way Chennai to empower 5 differently abled individuals through a micro-entrepreneurship program. The focus of the program was to enable differently abled people to become financially independent by commissioning a prefabricated petty shop structure that can be easily installed.
