Gowri Shankar Subramanian
Chief Executive Officer
Gowri Shankar Subramanian is a Co-Founder, Chairman & CEO of Aspire Systems. He commenced his entrepreneurial journey at a very young age. With over 30 years of experience in the IT sector, Gowri has been recognized as a pioneer in managing strategy as well as people practices.
A visionary, Gowri has steered Aspire from the small start-up it was in 1996 to the enterprise it is today. Under his leadership, Aspire has grown to a team of over 4,500 people with a strong presence across the US, LATAM, Europe, Middle East, India and APAC.
He is an active speaker and has presented in various industry events. He has been quoted extensively by leading publications. Gowri is an Angel Investor, actively investing in start-ups across the country. He also believes in giving back to society through Aspire’s CSR wings, Polestar and Pearltri Foundation, that stand for the cause of social upliftment.
Gowri has a Master’s in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Pondicherry Engineering College. He is also an amateur pilot still trying to get it right!
Prathap V Achuthan
Senior Vice President – US Operations
Prathap V Achuthan currently serves as the Vice President - US Operations at Aspire Systems and has been associated with the company since the formative years. He has held several key positions in Sales & Marketing at Aspire and was recently Vice President of Sales - US. He brings with him 14 years of rich experience in General Management, Strategy, and International Sales & Marketing.
Prathap has played a pivotal role in architecting a formal sales process and in establishing Aspire as a multifaceted global brand across geographies. He strongly believes in "Trust based selling" and through strong customer focus he has helped Aspire win number of long term relationships. In 2007, he set up a business unit in California that saw a growth in the region by over 50%.
In the current position, he oversees the US operations and is the driving force of Aspire expanding in the US and overall growth.
Prathap graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mining Engineering from College of Engineering, Anna University. He also holds an MBA degree from Anna University.
Sunil J N V
President, Sales, Marketing and Delivery
As President (Sales, Marketing and Delivery) of Aspire Systems, Sunil is solely dedicated in managing the entire delivery process from Aspire’s Global Delivery Centers. With close to 3 decades of varied experience in IT and Turnkey projects, Sunil has deep grounded knowledge and exceptional skills in Software Services and Products. His focus areas include Business Development and Acquisition, Business Unit Management, Program Management, Engagement and Delivery Management. His insights on projects and people development have created value out of intangible assets.
Before making a difference to our Global delivery process at Aspire, Sunil steered the project management and client engagement activities for Fortune 500 companies at HCL Technologies. He was instrumental in establishing a “New Initiatives Group”, focused on identifying new domains and emerging technologies to work on, at HCL.
In his previous role at iSOFT, Sunil was entrusted with complex and large enterprise-class projects across geographies.
Sunil is an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore and has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Andhra University, India.
Giridharan Thiruvengadam
Chief Financial Officer
Giridharan Thiruvengadam (Giri) is Head of the Finance and Legal functions at Aspire. Giri is a Chartered Accountant and legal professional with an experience of 20+ years in mid-sized IT services, product companies, Telecom and MNC Captive Technology companies.
During his tenure, he has done extensive work on business partnering, setting up and running FP&A, financial reporting under IFRS/US GAAP/I GAAP, MIS, international taxation, legal and secretarial compliances, corporate governance, treasury and in professional assurance services.
He has also successfully implemented internal control systems (SOX), processes and ERP (Peoplesoft Oracle) for a US listed company in India and SOX/ICFR for captive MNC and is adept at STPI, SEZ regulations, legal contracts.
Prior to joining Aspire, Giri has worked with Gigamon as Head of Finance and was on their Board. Prior to that he has worked in increasingly responsible positions in companies like Sify Technologies, BORN Group, iNautix, Keane India, PwC, and as a lawyer at Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan, Attorneys at Delhi. By qualification he is a CA, Cost Accountant and holds a degree in Bachelor of Law from Madras Law College.

Shankar co-founded Aspire Systems and currently serves as one of the directors on the board. Shankar has played several roles at Aspire - from hands-on sales, software development and overall delivery management to spearheading various technology initiatives. Shankar spearheaded Synergita Software (www.synergita.com) until 2023. Synergita is an award-winning SaaS software (company) focused on continuous employee performance and engagement.
He is also an angel investor and mentors few start-ups in India and Singapore.
Prior to Aspire, Shankar gained software development experience building CAD/CAM software at Neil Automation (www.neilsoft.com) and Parametric Technology Corporation (www.ptc.com).
Shankar has a Master’s degree in Computer Integrated Manufacturing from Bharathiar University, India and Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pondicherry University, India.
Bhoovarahan Thirumalai

Bhoo has founded/co-founded/invested in several ventures, both social and for profit and sits on the board and executive teams of some of them
Bhoo co-founded Aspire Systems and currently serves as one of its Directors of the Board. Prior to this assignment, he was President, US operations for Aspire Systems, and played a part in getting Aspire Systems to be a successful and well recognized Outsourced Product Development company.
